Hyderabad, November 7: As Donald Trump moves closer to a potential second term as U.S. President, a unique temple dedicated to him in Konne village, Telangana, India has regained attention.
Villagers now gathered to celebrate Trump’s success, garlanding his statue in homage to the leader.
The temple was constructed by Bussa Krishna, a passionate admirer of Donald Trump who turned his puja room into a shrine for Trump in 2018 after reportedly seeing him in a dream.
This deep admiration led Krishna to construct a six-foot statue of Trump in 2019 in his village, which he worshipped daily, conducting pujas and milk abhishek rituals. This statue reportedly cost him ₹2 lakh.
Tragically, Krishna passed away in 2020 at the age of 33. His commitment, however, lives on in his village, where his family and villagers maintain the Trump temple.
His dedication had earned him the nickname "Trump Krishna," and he believed his devotion could bridge cultural divides.
When Trump contracted COVID-19, Krishna even recorded a tearful prayer for his recovery and re-election, showcasing his belief in Trump's positive influence for India.
