Haryana, Nov 7: At a time when the River Yamuna is carrying scary froth layers due to acute pollution in the Delhi-NCR region, an ‘artificial rain’ has been conducted in the DLF Primus, a populated residential area in Haryana, to bring respite for the people those apparently suffocate here due to depleting air-quality.
The housing co-operative have showered the region with artificial raindrops using sprinklers from high rise building in DLF Primus Society in sector 82 Gurugram to battle air pollution.
Sources said, following the loss of air quality in Delhi-NCR region the DLF Primus area witnessed artificial fogs due to deteriorating air quality of the residential colony.
Anticipating it more severe with the onset of the winter, the housing welfare society opted for artificial rain as a remedial measure to manage the dust particles sediment on the earth.
Accordingly, the artificial rain was generated from the fire-line of the 32-storeyed skyscrapers to tackle the air pollution.
The RWA, DLF Primus Sector-82 led the process of the artificial sprinkler in the morning when the atmosphere was almost moist and full of smog, to settle down dust easily.
