Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s para-athletes are once again set to make their mark on the national stage as two of the state’s finest para shooters, Birendra Baliarsingh and Pravakar Behera, compete in the prestigious 5th Zonal Para Shooting and 5th National Para Shooting Championships to held at Pune, Maharashtra, from 8-14 November 2024.
Pravakar Behera, a dedicated and accomplished para-athlete, will begin his journey at the Zonal Para Shooting Championship. With a strong performance, he hopes to earn his place at the National Championship, where he will have the chance to showcase his talent on a larger stage. His participation underscores his commitment and determination to succeed at the highest levels of competition.
Birendra Baliarsingh, also will be representing Odisha in the National Championship. His involvement highlights his dual role as both an athlete aiming to inspire fellow athletes from Odisha to achieve excellence.
The team is accompanied by Coach Purushottam Panga from the HPC Shooting Range at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, who has been instrumental in preparing the athletes. His guidance and expertise have helped Odisha’s shooters to excel and represent the state with pride.
