UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024 Results Out: Shakti Dubey tops, Women secure top two ranks

New Delhi, April 22: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the results of the Civil Services Examination 2024. Shakti Dubey has topped the prestigious exam, with Harshita Goyal and Dongre Archit Parag securing the second and third positions, respectively.

This year, a total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various civil services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and ‘B’). Of the successful candidates, 725 are men and 284 are women.

The preliminary examination was held on June 16, 2024, with 5,83,213 candidates appearing. Following this, 14,627 candidates qualified for the Main Examination held in September 2024, out of which 2,845 advanced to the Personality Test stage.

Top Performers:

Rank 1: Shakti Dubey, a B.Sc. Biochemistry graduate from the University of Allahabad, opted for Political Science & International Relations as her optional subject.

Rank 2: Harshita Goyal, a B.Com graduate from MS University of Baroda, also chose Political Science & International Relations.

Rank 3: Dongre Archit Parag, an Electronics Engineering graduate from VIT, Vellore, took Philosophy as his optional subject.

Ranks 4 & 5: Shah Margi Chirag and Akash Garg, both with engineering backgrounds.

Among the qualified candidates, 45 are Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
