Jajpur, Feb 9: In a gory incident, a youth was brutally murdered by some miscreants reportedly over past enmity in Sobara area of Odisha’s Jajpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Kumar Sahu.
As per reports, Deepak’s blood-soaked body was found inside Om Digital Film Studio, which was owned by him, on Sunday morning.
According to Deepak’s family members, he went to the studio around 11 pm to sleep after having dinner. However, his mobile phone was found switched off later that night.
Later this morning, when Deepak’s mother went to the studio with tea, she found his body lying in a pool of blood and alerted the police.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
Though the exact reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, prima facie suggests that it might be a fallout of previous enmity. The miscreants fled the scene after committing the crime. They also looted equipment from the studio, including computers and cameras.
A probe has been launched into the incident with the assistance of a scientific team and dog squad and efforts are on to trace and nab the culprits involved, said the police.
