Kutch, Dec 29: A 3.2 magnitude tremor struck Gujarat's Kutch district on Sunday morning, according to the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR). Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties or property damage, the Kutch district administration confirmed.
The earthquake occurred at 10:06 am, with its epicenter located 18 kilometers northeast of Bhachau, the ISR in Gandhinagar stated. This marks the third seismic event of magnitude 3 or greater in Kutch this month. Earlier tremors included a 3.2 magnitude quake on December 7 and a 3.7 magnitude tremor on December 23, as reported by ISR.
In November, the region also experienced notable seismic activity, with a 4.2 magnitude earthquake in Patan on November 15 and a 4.0 magnitude tremor in Kutch on November 18.
