Two killed, 30 hurt as Mumbai-Howrah Exp derails in Jharkhand

Mumbai, July 29: At least two persons died and 30 others sustained injuries, when ten coaches of the Mumbai-Howrah Express derailed early Tuesday morning in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharsawan district, according to railway officials.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 am near Badabamboo, around 80 km from Jamshedpur, within the Chakradharpur Division of South East Railway. "Ten to twelve coaches of the Mumbai-Howrah Express derailed near Badabamboo," confirmed a senior official from the South East Railway (SER). "Six passengers were injured in the accident and were initially provided medical aid in Badabamboo. They are now being shifted to Chakradharpur for more comprehensive treatment."
Rescue operations are currently underway, with authorities working to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers. Further details are awaited as the situation develops.
