Bhubaneswar, Mar 29: The National Handicraft Fair, ‘Toshali Mela,’ saw a large turnout on its ninth evening this Friday. The fair, currently underway at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on December 15th and is set to conclude on March 31st.
Featuring 390 stalls dedicated to handloom and handicrafts, the Toshali National Crafts Mela 2025 offers a unique opportunity to experience the best of local craftsmanship.
Visitors can shop for authentic handloom and handcrafted products directly from the artisans, with 150 weavers and craftsmen from across various states showcasing their work. Professional weavers are also displaying their expertise live at their stalls, offering a rare glimpse into the creation of intricate designs.
The fair highlights a wide array of traditional fabrics, including Kalamkari, Khadi, Pochampally Ikkat, Banarasi sarees, and renowned Odisha handlooms such as Bomkai and Sambalpuri
sarees.
