The big development comes to fore is the Millennium star has piped the current generation of big stars like the ‘King’ of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.
The crown of highest tax payer shows Amitabh Bachchan has been ruling the Indian cinema consistently since last 6 decades.

According to a news report in Pinkvilla,The annual income of Amitabh Bachchan in the Financial year ended March 31, 2025 had been Rs 350 crore. His tax liability for the FY, therefore, estimated at Rs 120 crore.
The news report quoting sources claimed that Amitabh Bachchan paid his last instalment of advance tax worth Rs 52.50 crore on March 15, 2025.
The report said Amitabh Bachchan is known for high financial discipline. He often makes it a point to pay all taxes on time.
The news report further claimed that in the year 2025, Amitabh Bachchan is committed to sign on new exciting projects, and leave a mark among all his fans.
It needs mentioning that last fiscal year(2023-24), Amitabh Bachchan was the fourth largest tax payer in the country with a tax liability of Rs 71 cr.
This fiscal Amitabh Bachchan's annual income has grown so big that his tax liability has been estimated at a high of Rs 120 cr. - 1.7 times up (say nearly doubled)

Mega star Amitabh Bachchan has become the highest tax payer in FY 2024-25 for paying Rs 120 cr tax. In the year 2023-24, Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan was the top taxpayer by virtue of paying Rs 92 cr tax.
Since Big B’s tax liability in FY 2024-25 has been Rs 120cr, Big B has been crowned the top Individual tax payer in the country.
