Padampur, May 16: : BJP national President JP Nadda today said the people of Odisha will choose an Odia as their Chief Minister.

“People of Odisha are looking for a Chief Minister who is young, who is from Odisha, speaks Odia and who can oversee the administration on a daily basis,” said Nadda while addressing a public meeting in Padampur.

Criticising the BJD government for not implementing the Ayushman sheme, he said Naveen Patnaik did not like Rs 5 lakh health cover given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Nearly 68 lakh families are being deprived of this health coverage due to non-implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha, he said.

He reiterated that the people of Odisha have made up their minds to elect the saffron party to power and give rest to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Earlier, Nadda held a road show in Bhubaneswar-from Mausi Maa Chhak to Lingaraj temple.
Nadda spoke to the media persons and said that people's enthusiasm clearly says that they have "decided to give rest" to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and elect a BJP government in the state.

In response to a question about the BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate for the state, Nadda stated that the saffron party had decided its Chief Ministers in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan within three days of the election results, adding that Odisha will also see something similar.
