CHSE Plus Two examinations begin in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Feb 18: The annual Plus Two examinations conducted by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) began across the state today.

While students from the Science stream are appearing for their MIL (Modern Indian Languages) paper on the first day, exams for Arts and Commerce stream students will begin tomorrow. The examinations will continue until March 27.

As per reports, a total of 3,93,618 students including 2,47,391 students are from Arts stream, 1,14,980 from Science, 25,526 from Commerce, and 5,721 from Vocational Education are appearing for the exams at 1,276 centers across the state.

The exam will take place from 10 am to 1 pm, with a total of 22 sittings scheduled. The CHSE aims to announce the results within 45 days of the exam. 

The CHSE has implemented a five-level squad and installed CCTV at all centers to prevent malpractice. District-level squads have been assigned to monitor the process. Additionally at the college level, zonal-level squads, observers, and internal squads will carry out random and surprise visits to examination centers to ensure strict compliance with rules.

In addition, the CHSE has established 205 Examination Management Hubs for the secure storage of question papers.
