“The train accident victim was admitted at SCB last month. He was kept at neurosurgery ward as he had severe brain injury during the accident. We tried our best to save his life. However, he succumbed to his injuries. His body will be handed over to the family”, SCB officials said.
Meanwhile, almost two months after the horrific train accident, 29 victims' bodies are still being preserved in containers at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar.
"The Health facility had received 162 bodies and 81 were handed over to the family members in the first phase. Due to several issues like multiple claimants, DNA samples of bodies were sent to New Delhi for matching. There are 29 more bodies and those will be mostly unclaimed if DNA samples do not match, said AIIMS authorities.
