Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: Ahead of general elections in 2024, the state unit of Odisha BJP has decided to hold meetings at panchayat levels to strengthen the party.
State BJP president Manmohan Samal, who returned from Delhi after meeting the central leadership, said the party leaders including MPs and MLAs will go to panchayats and meet the grassroots leaders to strengthen the party cadres. He said the leaders have already reached about 1200 panchayats and the remaining 5000 panchayats will be reached in the coming days.
"Central leadership has directed to strengthen the organisation and tour villages. We have completed visits to 1200 panchayats and another 5000 panchayats will be covered by MPs, MLAs, party officials, and workers," he added. Samal also informed that he would visit Delhi again and meet several central leaders of the party.
