Bhubaneswar, February 18: A couple of days after a girl student from Nepal, a third year B.Tech student died on Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) campus, in Bhubaneswar, allegedly by suicide, students wings of the Nepali Congress party staged a protest in Nepal’s Capital City Kathmandu on Tuesday.

During the protest the student’s union alleged the recklessness of the KIIT authorities behind the girl's death and condemned the derogatory remarks of the hostel matrons regarding Nepal.
They also came down hard over the inhumane deportation of other Nepali students by the KIIT authorites soon after the death of a Nepali girl identified as Prakriti Lamsal.

The protesters also demanded justice for the victim Lamsal who reportedly died by suicide due to depression stemed from the harassment of an Indian boyfriend.
Meanwhile, concerned over the delicate issue involving two Consulates, the death of the girl belonging to the neighboring nation, rocked the Odisha Assembly today.
Acting on the allegations raised by some co-students, the Odisha Police apprehended the accused boyfriend Advik Srivastava from Bhubaneswar Airport on Monday.
On the other hand, seeing the issue going global, the KIIT authorities have urged the Nepali students to come back to the campus.
