Balangir, April 9: A workman sustained critical injuries after a fire mishap took place at Saintala Ordnance Factory in Odisha’s Bolangir district on Wednesday.
The injured one, identified as Shivashankar Bhoi was shifted to Rourkela burn unit for resuscitation.
As per reports, the mishap began in Unit 6 of the Ordnance Factory during the handling of explosive materials. A severe explosion took place at the scene all of a sudden and a blaze spread a few meters away. As a result, a worker who was handling the explosive was left critical. He was rushed to the Badmal Medical for treatment who was later shifted to IGH, Rourkela.
