Gangapur police station in Odisha ranked second in India

Bhubaneswar, Nov 19: Gangapur police station in Ganjam district has been awarded by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) as the second best police station in the country for 2021. Union Home Minister, Amit Shah personally handed over the trophy to the IIC of Gangapur police station today at Police Headquarters, Lucknow during the DGP conference 2021. While evaluating the performances of the police stations of the country on 49 parameters of e-governance on Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) such as cases of gambling, arms act, excise act, UD cases, disposal of passport, arms and Service verifications, Gangapur police station has stood second in the country in providing services to the people in addition to normal policing. {"align":"center","id":149051,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} IIC of the police station, Dhiresh Das has transformed the police station in to people's friendly reception centre, designed a park for the visiting children, a comfortable Mahila and Sishu Desk and provisions of purified drinking water facilities.
