Bhubaneswar, March 29: Odisha is enduring a relentless heatwave, with several cities recording temperatures soaring above 40°C. Sambalpur was the hottest, hitting a scorching 42°C.
Hirakud closely followed with a temperature of 41.7°C, while Jharsuguda recorded 41.6°C. Rourkela registered 39.5°C, and the state capital, Bhubaneswar, saw temperatures reaching 38.6°C.
Other regions also felt the heat, with Keonjhar and Chandbali each recording 38°C, and Balasore at 37.2°C.
The heatwave is expected to persist, and residents are urged to take precautions, stay hydrated, and avoid excessive exposure to the sun.
