Ranchi, Feb 5: Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren on Monday passed the floor test after 47 members voted in his favour in the 81-member Assembly.
On the other hand, 29 votes were cast against the Champai Soren government.
Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren was present in Assembly for the floor test with court's permission.
It is worth mentioning that the floor test was held in the wake of political drama in Jharkhand, starting from Hemant Soren's late-night resignation and his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on January 31.
He was arrested by the central agency in connection with a money laundering case.
However, the JMM leader has denied the allegations and termed them as a conspiracy of the BJP.
