Keonjhar DEO holds up salary of employees of these 5 high schools

Keonjhar, Jan 9: The Keonjhar District Education Officer (DEO) has withheld the salary of employees of five high schools on the first day of reopening of schools in the state. The disciplinary action has been taken as school campuses were not properly cleaned and the prescribed Covid guidelines were not followed, said DEO Sangarm Sahoo. Besides, proper plan/routine had not been prepared for commencement of classes, he added. The salaries of the headmasters, teaching and non-teaching staff of SMR High School at Jharbelda, Govt High School at Khireitangiri, Bishoipat Govt High School at Jamunaposi, PMB High School at Bolaniposi and Jhalamani High School at Denuan have been withheld for the month of January, 2012 until further clearance is issued in this regard, a notification read.
