Bhubaneswar: Local favourite Kabir Hans partnering Rishab Agarwal barged into the men’s doubles final of the M25 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour 2024, defeating third-seeded pair of Siddhant Banthia and Vishnu Vardhan by 6-2, 7-6 (4) at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Centre here on Friday. The doubles final will be held on Saturday.
Top-seeded pair Egor Agafonov and Bogdan Bobrov narrowly edged past Ishaque Eqbal and Faisal Qamar in a thrilling comeback, winning 3-6, 7-6(6), [10-8]. The victory sees Agafonov and Bobrov advance to face Hans and Agarwal in tomorrow’s highly anticipated doubles showdown.
Top seeded Dalibor Svrcina from Czech Republic will face third seeded 18-year Aryan Shah from India, Similarly, seventh seed Nick Chappell from USA to meet eighth seeded Bogdan Bobrov from Russia in the main draw Singles semifinals respectively.
