Haridwar, April 6: Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev extended his heartfelt greetings on Ram Navami, emphasizing that Lord Ram embodies our Dharma, culture, and nature. He stated, "Today is Ram Navami. Lord Ram is the essence of our Sanatana Dharma and the soul of our body. I wish everyone a joyful Ram Navami and a blessed ninth day of Chaitra Navratri."
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed a puja with his family at the Chief Minister's residence. He also sent his warm greetings to the people of Uttarakhand on this auspicious occasion, which marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ram. In his message, CM Dhami underscored the importance of Lord Ram's values and urged citizens to adopt his ideals for the greater good of both the state and the nation. "Heartiest greetings to all on Ram Navami. This occasion teaches us about truth, duty, compassion, and righteousness. Let us take a pledge to build a better state and nation by embracing Lord Ram’s teachings. May this festival bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all," he said.
Ram Navami also coincides with the final day of Chaitra Navratri, a Hindu festival that celebrates Goddess Durga’s nine avatars. This festival, observed across India, honors Goddess Shakti and culminates in the celebration of Lord Ram's birth. Devotees observe fasts, prayers, and rituals during the nine-day event, which is particularly significant in the spring season, known as Chaitra Navratri.
