According to reports, the man had been involved in a longstanding dispute with his wife for the past four years, and frequent arguments were common between them. This morning, the accused got to know that his wife and daughter had gone to Kalapathar Hospital for treatment

Cuttack, April 12: In a barbaric incident, a three year old girl sustained severe injuries after her father attacked her with a sharp weapon following a family feud. The incident occurred at Purunapani village under Banki Tehsil in Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

The accused man has been absconding after committing the crime.

According to reports, the man had been involved in a longstanding dispute with his wife for the past four years, and frequent arguments were common between them. This morning, the accused got to know that his wife and daughter had gone to Kalapathar Hospital for treatment. He reached there and attacked her three year old daughter with a ‘Katuri’. Following the attack, the minor girl sustained severe injuries on her head. After committing the crime, the accused man fled from the spot.

Being informed, Banki police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
