Man held in Odisha for impersonating as doctor, treating children

Jharsuguda, May 23: Belpahar police today arrested a 45-year-old for allegedly impersonating as a doctor and treating children in Belpahar area of Jharsuguda district. The accused identified as Ramesh Kumarr Sahu, a native of Raigarh in Chhattisgarh has been impersonating himself as a paediatrician. Police said that his clinic was raided on Thursday and Sahu could not produce any documents related to his medical degree. “Subsequently a requisition was made to the CDMO to send a team of doctors to verify his credentials. He appeared before the enquiry panel on Saturday and produced his medical certificates which were fake and fabricated. A case was registered against Sahu and he has been arrested,” said a police official.
