Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly killed his wife with the help of two girlfriends reportedly with administering anesthesia injection.
The incident took place on October 27 in the Bharatpur area of the Capital City Bhubaneswar.
Based on the post-mortem report, the Bharatpur Police on Wednesday apprehended the accused husband and his two aides, said DCP Pinak Mishra.
According to police, a woman was received dead in the Capital Hospital Bhubaneswar on Monday while the deceased person’s husband had rushed her for treatment. Following this, the police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem after registering an unnatural death(UD)case in this connection. However, the post-mortem report that came up on Wednesday revealed that the woman was killed by administering excessive anesthesia.
Acting on the post-mortem and statements of the treating doctors, the police initiated further investigation wherein the cops interrogated the deceased’s husband. Meanwhile, he confessed that he had killed his wife for extramarital affairs with two girls.
Further investigation is underway. The police may take the key accused on remand for crimescene recreation, DCP Mishra added.
