Bhubaneswar, March 17: While the entire Odisha mourns the sudden demise of visionary leader, ace Parliamentarian & former Union Minister Dr. Debendra Pradhan, BJP Odisha chapter bade heartfelt adieu to the visionary at the BJP’s state headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
Thousands of BJP leaders including the party’s state officials led by President Manmohan Samal received the mortal remains of Dr. Pradhan at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar in the evening.
Later, the earthly body of Dr. Pradhan was escorted to the BJP state office in a grand procession wherein the coffin was bedecked in a stage and wrapped with the party’s insignia. Following this, all BJP State office bearers and leaders offered hearfelt tribute to the premier leader, offering flowers and garlands.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo & Pravati Parida, Speaker Odisha Assembly Surama Padhy, Cabinet Ministers and BJP Legislators along with Cabinet Ministers, offered adieu to the son of the soil.
Earlier, premier BJP leader Dr. Debendra Pradhan was accorded guard of honour at the Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport in the afternoon.
As the earthly body of Dr. Pradhan arrived at the BPIA in a special aircraft, statutory guard of honour was accorded to the great son of the soil on belf of the government of Odisha.
A contingent of the Odisha Police offered the guard of honor to late Dr. Pradhan at the domestic terminal.
Following this, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers, KV Singh Deo & Pravati Parida and Speaker Surama Padhy among other BJP leaders and state-level officials, offered heartfelt adieu to late Dr. Pradhan here.
