As per reports, Singh Deo, who also holds the Energy portfolio in the state government, has directed electricity distribution companies (discoms) to avoid power cuts, especially during daytime hours in the summer.
“In case of a thunderstorm, replacing fallen electric poles may take time. However, in many areas, power was restored within a couple of hours. During yesterday’s CM grievance cell in Sambalpur, we ensured there were no power cut complaints,” said Singh Deo.
The Deputy CM emphasized that the new power management model introduced this year is showing great effectiveness. He assured consumers that all complaints would be promptly addressed.
“There will be no power disconnections this summer due to unpaid bills, but consumers must still pay for the electricity they use,” he added.
