New Delhi, January 17: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to implement OMR-based exam in NEET(UG)-2025, in a first.
The NTA will also work out on a common schedule for BHMS, BSMS, RAMS and BUMS for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET (UG)-2025) in the pen-and-paper mode (OMR-based) in a single day that to in a single session.
The NTA issued a notification in this connection on Thursday.
According to the official notification, "It has been decided by the National Medical Commission (NMC) that the NEET (UG)-2025 Exams will be absolutely in OMR sheets in a common session.
In accordance with Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, NEET (UG) has to be conducted as a common and uniform examination for admission to undergraduate medical programs in all medical institutions. Similarly, Section 14 of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020, provides for a single NEET (UG) for admission to undergraduate courses in such disciplines as RAMS, BUMS, and BSMS in institutions governed by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine. NEET (UG) is also prescribed for admission to the BHMS course under the National Commission for Homeopathy.
Similarly, the MNS aspirants who will appear the NEET this year to take up B Sc. Nursing courses at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals, will will be selected on their NEET (UG) scores, read the notification.
