Jajpur, Jan 31: In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl allegedly drugged her family before eloping with her 24-year-old lover in Kuakhia area of Odisha’s Jajpur district late last night.
As per reports, the incident has been reported from Nathuabara village under Kuakhia police limits in the district. The girl reportedly mixed sedatives into the food that she served her parents and other family members during dinner. After eating the meal, they lost consciousness and the girl escaped with her lover identified as Deepak Sethi, hailing Siaria Manpur village in the Dangadi block.
Her family members were discovered in an unconscious state and rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). They are currently undergoing treatment.
Upon getting the information, Kuakhia police launched a probe into the matter and are actively working to locate the missing girl and bring her back.
It is worth mentioning that this wasn’t the first time the girl had run away with Deepak. In May last year, she had eloped with him but was later traced and rescued by the police and her family from Kerala.
