Bhubaneswar, November 14: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi delivered a strong warning to individuals disrupting cooperative societies, pledging strict action against those causing disturbances.
Speaking at the 71st All India Cooperative Week celebration in Bhubaneswar, CM Majhi underscored the government's commitment to ensuring stability and operational efficiency within these essential organizations.
In his speech, CM Majhi criticized the previous BJD government for not fulfilling its promises to paddy farmers, specifically pointing to an unfulfilled Rs 100 bonus over the minimum support price (MSP) promised in Sohela. "The previous government failed our farmers, but we are taking all necessary steps to support them," he said, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to agricultural welfare.
Majhi also announced an additional input subsidy of Rs 800 per quintal of paddy, aimed at relieving the financial strain on farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity across the state.
