Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today left for Singapore on a four-day official visit. This visit, aligned with the annual festival of Bali Yatra, symbolizing Odisha’s ancient maritime trade legacy—aims to position the state as a premier destination for global investments.
Accompanied by Industry Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and other state officials, CM Majhi left today for international visit.
As part of its ongoing efforts to boost industrial growth and economic development, Odisha's delegation will seek to forge new collaborations with industry leaders, investors, and policymakers in Singapore. This visit aligns with the state's strategic goal of attracting significant investment in preparation for the Utkarsh Odisha 2025 Summit, with the aim of positioning Odisha as a prominent destination for global investment.
The visit will involve high-level meetings with Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister, officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation will also visit key facilities like the Jurong Petrochemicals Region, Tuas Port, and ITEES to draw inspiration for enhancing Odisha's industrial landscape. Additionally, the delegation will host roadshows and interactive sessions to engage with Singaporean industry leaders and the Odia diaspora, building stronger economic and cultural connections.
