Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: Odisha's Director General of Police (DGP), YB Khurania, reviewed the security arrangements for President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Puri on December 4. The President will visit key locations including the Jagannath Temple, Blue Flag Beach, Raj Bhavan, Samang Parking, and the sea beach. After the site visits, Khurania held a meeting with senior police officers to discuss security measures.
Khurania announced that 80 platoons of police, led by 300 senior officers, will be deployed to ensure tight security along the President’s route and in Puri. Special measures are being implemented for traffic management from Bhubaneswar to Puri, parking arrangements, and VIP safety.
President Murmu will arrive in Bhubaneswar on December 3 and unveil a statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu at Niladri Vihar.
On December 4, she will visit the Jagannath Temple, attend the 75th anniversary of Gopabandhu Ayurveda College, and witness a military display at Blue Flag Beach, which will feature 25 ships and 40 fighter jets. Special focus is being placed on public safety during the visit.
