Padampur, March 29: In a harrowing incident, a Forester was held at Padampur in Odisha, for attempting to rape a minor girl student.
The accused has been iedentified as Narsingha Satapathy, who works in the Kenduguda section under the Gudari Forest Range.
According to a complaint lodged by the surviver’s parents, Satapathy allegedly tried to entice the 12-year girl into his residence while she was returning home from school.
On being aware of the minor girl’s ordeal, family members and locals rushed to the spot and rescued her
On being informed, the Padampur Police rushed to the spot and took the forest official to custody.
