Odisha gets a winning start in the National Visually Impaired Chess meet

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s visually impaired chess team has made a winning start by defeating Madhya Pradesh 4-0 in the first round of the All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) National Chess Championship, which kicks started at Ahmedabad on Friday.
Representing Odisha are five talented players: international achievers Soundarya Kumar Pradhan and Prachurya Kumar Pradhan, along with Subhendu Kumar Patra, Prachi Pragnya Sahu, and Sudhir Kumar Nayak. Each has shown skill and resilience, reflecting Odisha’s growing presence in blind chess under the guidance of the Para Sports Association of Odisha (PSAO). PSAO has expressed confidence in the team and looks forward to continued success.
“We are incredibly proud of our players’ outstanding performance and commitment,” said a representative from PSAO. “Their dedication is inspiring, and we are confident they will continue to achieve great results in the rounds ahead.”
