New Delhi, November 12: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar have today launched the official website for the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, which is scheduled for January 8-10 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The event, held in New Delhi, also featured the Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh.
Minister Jaishankar highlighted the significance of the diaspora's role in India's global standing and emphasized that their well-being remains a high priority for the government. He noted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s consistent engagement with Indians abroad as a reflection of the robust ties between India and its global community.
Majhi invited the diaspora to Odisha, expressing hopes that attendees would connect with the state’s rich historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage. The event marks a significant collaboration between the central government and Odisha to foster deeper connections with the global Indian community.
