Bhubaneswar: After conceding defeat against Mumbai in the last match, the Odisha team bundled out Maharashtra 162 in the first innings of the round-5 Elite-A group match of the Ranji Trophy at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Wednesday.
Winning the toss, Maharashtra opted to bat first. Odisha bowlers Sumit Sharma and Govinda Poddar pocketed four and three wickets respectively and bowled out Maharashtra 162 in 54 overs, with Ramakrushna Ghose contributing 80 runs.
In reply, Odisha opener Swastik Samal scored personal best an unbeaten 54 runs, along with Sandeep Patnaik (41 n.o;) stitched an unbeaten 83 runs. On day one stumps Odisha gathered 99 for 1.
