Nayagarh, Jan 10: In a tragic incident, one person was killed and over 30 tourists were injured after a bus ferrying them skidded off the road near Ranpur here late last night.
The bus, carrying more than 40 passengers from Gurundi village under Itamati Police limits in Nayagarh district, was on its way to places like Kalijai and Taratarini.
However, the driver of the vehicle lost control of the wheel near Khandisi in Gopalpur and overturned, leaving one person dead and more than 30 injured.
The injured passengers were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
