New Delhi, Ap 30: Pilgrims eager to undertake the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra can now register online, as the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has officially reopened registrations for the 2025 pilgrimage.
The revered journey, which was suspended due to the 2020 Galwan clash and the COVID-19 pandemic, will now resume between June and August 2025.
The Yatra will be conducted via two primary routes: the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and the Nathu La Pass in Sikkim.
To maintain a well-organized and smooth journey, the pilgrimage will be conducted in batches. Five batches of 50 pilgrims will travel through Lipulekh Pass, while ten batches of 50 pilgrims will take the Nathu La Pass route.
The registration process will be computerized to ensure fairness, with a random selection system that guarantees a gender-balanced and equitable process.
Interested pilgrims can now apply for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the official website, http://kmy.gov.in.
The reopening of the Yatra has generated immense excitement among devotees, many of whom have been waiting for years to undertake the sacred pilgrimage.
