Delhi, April 24: While a warlike situation looms over the Pak sky following the Pahalgam terror attack on this 22nd, a viral video that featured a man roaming with a cake to present it to a Pakistan Higher official, yet fumed controversy among people.
The video emerged on social media showing a man carrying the cake into the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on Thursday, just two days after the brutal terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians at Pahalgam.
The viral video later on triggered widespread outrage across social media platforms.
On April 22, terrorists affiliated with The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of the Pakistan-based terror organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), allegedly carried out a massacre in the Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam.
The attack sent shockwaves across the country prompting massive protests outside the Pakistan High Commission in the national capital amid heightened security and chants against Pakistan.
Amid a tense situation and India's anger against Islamabad over its cross-border terrorism, this video surfaced showing a man dressed in a blue Pathani suit walking towards the Pakistan High Commission carrying a white pack of cake with a celebrating gesture.
The video also shows that reporters present near the gate of the High Commission attempted to question the man about his presence at the Pak High Commissioner’s office. However, he walked past avoiding the questions of the journos.
The footage fuelled to online criticism, where many users condemned the perceived insensitivity and accused the Pakistan High Commission of callousness in the wake of one of the deadliest attacks on the valley.
Neither the Delhi police nor the High Commission officials have yet commented on the validity of the viral video.
