Prathamastami 2023: Madhabananda Jew temple gears up

Niali, Nov 24: All arrangements have been done by Madhabananda Jew temple at Niali in Odisha’s Cuttack to send Khandua and other ritual materials to Puri Srimandir for the Prathamastami of Trinity.

The Prathamastami rituals will be held on Tuesday (December 5)

As per the schedule, a procession carrying Khandua and other ritual materials will begin from Madhabananda Jew temple at 7.30 am on Monday.

On the way to Srimandir, more than 20 well-decorated ‘Sankirtan’ groups will join the procession. A total of 20 Behera servitors will observe fast and travel to the 13th century shrine with the Khandua and other ritual materials.

Devotees of Lord Jagannath along with devotees and saints from the region will also participate in the procession which is scheduled to arrive in Shree Gundicha Temple at 2:30 pm.

The second leg of the procession will start at 3 pm from Shree Gundicha Temple. 

The sacred journey is scheduled to complete after reaching Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) office by 5 pm.
