Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s talented para shooter, Pravakar Behera, has delivered an outstanding performance at the 5th Zonal Para Shooting Championship 2024, securing two medals. The championship, held at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune, Maharashtra, witnessed Pravakar winning a silver medal in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH-2 category with a score of 374 out of 400 points. He also claimed a bronze in the 10m Prone Mix Air Rifle SH-2 event, scoring 393 out of 400 points.
With this achievement, Pravakar Behera has qualified for the upcoming 5th National Para Shooting Championship 2024, scheduled to be held from November 10 to 14. This national championship will feature top athletes, including international medalists and high-performing zonal competitors. Pravakar’s success at the zonal level has now opened doors for him to showcase his skills on a national platform, aiming to bring further glory to Odisha.
This was Pravakar’s first appearance at a zonal championship, and his impressive medal-winning performance is a testament to his dedication and skill.
