Panaji, Nov 24: Actor Ranbir Kapoor participated in a special conversation with filmmaker Rahul Rawail at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Sunday, honoring the birth centenary of his legendary grandfather, Raj Kapoor.
During the event, Ranbir shared a heartwarming moment involving his daughter, Raha, and her introduction to music. The actor revealed that the first song he played for his daughter was Raj Kapoor's timeless track "Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar" from the 1959 classic Anari.
"I’m an '80s kid, and this song is my anthem, my favorite," Ranbir shared.
"The first song I played for Raha was 'Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar.' Even just listening to the lyrics, they’re so simple yet carry such a beautiful philosophy. It’s definitely a great way to live life," he added.
Additionally, Ranbir announced that a film festival dedicated to showcasing restored classics of his grandfather Raj Kapoor will be held across India in December. The festival, a tribute to Raj Kapoor’s birth centenary, will feature 10 of his iconic films. The restoration project is a collaboration between the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC), the National Film Archives of India (NFAI), the Film Heritage Foundation (FHF), and his uncle Kunal Kapoor.
