Bhubaneswar, Feb 16: The prime accused in the sensational Sahadev Nayak murder case on National Highway-16 near Rasulgarh in Bhubaneswar, Rama Nayak, was today arrested by Mancheswar Police in the city.
As per reports, Rama surrendered before the Mancheswar Police following which she was arrested.
It is worth mentioning that the spine chilling murder took place on January 8 when some unidentified miscreants hacked Sahadev Nayak to death near Rasulgarh Square in the capital city.
Nayak, a resident of the Kedarpalli area, was the president of the BMC Sanitation Employees Association and also served as a volunteer for the police.
Earlier, the police had arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in murder case.
Investigation revealed that the attack was fallout of past enmity over drug peddling in the area. The illegal activities were carried out by the accused and Sahadev was opposing it.
