Bhubaneswar: Salman Khan’s much awaited movie Sikandar is hitting the silver screen Sunday. The trailer of the movie released a week ago had garnered a massive 58mn views.
The Bahijaan movie seems going for a massive opening in the State Capital Bhubaneswar. The city will be hosting a massive 114 shows on Day 1. This is considered big as the Allu Arjun starred Pushpa2 The Rule had 69 shows on Day 1, and 109 shows on day 2.
The show count shows mega star Salman Khan has taken a lead over the Allu Arjun starred Pushpa 2 The Rule.
BIGGEST OPENING?
Given the show count, it seems the Salman Khan starred movie may go for a big opening. But the advance booking craze has been moderate here.
When Pushpa 2 The Rule has recorded 13 shows out of 67 housefull, Sikandar has till evening recorded 12 housefull shows. The overall occupancy in the Capital has been recorded so far at 19%. The occupancy for Pushpa 2 The Rule had been higher at over 50%.

The Salman Khan movie is releasing on a whopping 19,082 screen nationally.
The Salman Khan starred Sikandar has so far sold over 2.3 lakh tickets for the day1. The number looks quite moderate when seen with the stature of Salman Khan.

SIKANDAR DAY 1 OPENER FORECAST
With the advance booking turning out average so far, how much the Salman movie will be going to rake in on the Day 1?
According to trade analyst and film critic Sumit Kadel, Sikandar is expected to take an opening in the vicinity of Rs 28 cr - 32 cr nett.
The film’s opening day collection will go past the Rs 35 cr mark, only if massive spot booking takes place on Sunday.
“Far better Pre Sale was expected from a Salman Khan starrer releasing on Eid & Sunday. Audience Word of mouth will be crucial,” he added.
