Bhubaneswar, Aug 31: Sports Odisha defeated Sunrise Club by a solitary goal in the keenly contested final held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on to emerge champions of the FAO (Football Association of Odisha) Super League.
The winners lifted the FAO Super Cup and were presented Rs 1 lakh cash reward. The final match losers Sunrise Club were awarded the Runners-up trophy and a cash reward of Rs 50,000, the organisers informed.
The dignitaries present during the final match on Wednesday included CMC Subhash Singh, Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra, FAO President Debashish Samantaray and FAO Secretary Asirbad Behera, the organisers added.
