Bhubaneswar, February 1: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense fog across multiple districts in Odisha, prompting the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to issue an advisory to Collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) in the affected areas.
The SRC has urged Police and Transport officials to take appropriate actions to manage vehicle movement on highways during foggy conditions to reduce the risk of accidents.
As per the IMD's forecast, dense fog is expected to occur from Saturday night to Sunday morning in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Keonjhar, Khordha, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Kandhamal.
Additionally, dense fog is likely to persist in Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Ganjam, and Gajapati on Sunday night and Monday morning. These regions have been issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ by the IMD.
