New Delhi, Mar 29: South superstar Vijay Deverakonda, along with Bollywood actors Yami Gautam and Amit Sadh, had the honor of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday in New Delhi. The Prime Minister was in attendance at the TV9 Summit, where he interacted with the stars of the Indian film industry. The actors seized the moment by taking a photograph with PM Modi to immortalize the unforgettable experience. For the event, Vijay Deverakonda chose a stylish green Bandhgala Sherwani, while Amit Sadh appeared in a khaki blazer and pants. Yami Gautam looked elegant in a purple dress.
During the event, PM Modi emphasized India’s remarkable transformation over the past decade, highlighting the nation’s shift from dependence to self-reliance. He stressed that India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047 could only be realized through collective efforts. At the TV9 Summit, the Prime Minister remarked, “India is no longer a nation of dreams but a nation that delivers on those dreams.”
Reflecting on India’s progress, PM Modi pointed out that a decade ago, many women had to limit their movement from sunset to sunrise due to inadequate sanitation facilities. However, with the launch of the Swachh Bharat Mission, this issue had been resolved. He also spoke about the government’s welfare initiatives, citing Ayushman Bharat as a key solution to the unaffordable medical care that had burdened the poor in 2013. “In 2013, expensive healthcare was a challenge, but Ayushman Bharat has provided a remedy. Today, clean water is available in every household through the ‘Har Ghar Se Nal Jal’ initiative,” he noted.
PM Modi also highlighted reforms in the taxation system, stating, “Our government utilizes every penny of taxpayer money with integrity and respects taxpayers. We have made the tax system more friendly for the people.” He concluded by pointing out the transformation India has undergone in every sector over the past 10-11 years, attributing this significant change to a shift in mindset. “For many decades post-Independence, a narrative prevailed that only foreign things were superior,” he added.
