Dharmagarh (Kalahandi): In a horrifying incident, a young man allegedly murdered his uncle and aunt with an axe in Odisha's Kalahandi district on Saturday.
The incident occurred in Karli village under Golamunda police station limits in Kalahandi district. The victims have been identified as Budu Bag and Sajane Bag.
The accused, Basanta Bag, has been apprehended by the police.
According to reports, a strained relationship existed between Budu Bag and his younger brother's family. On Saturday morning, an altercation occurred between Budu and his nephew, Basanta. In a fit of rage, Basanta retrieved an axe from his house and, without any apparent provocation, viciously attacked Budu and Sajane, causing their immediate death.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Golamunda police promptly arrived at the scene, recovered the bodies, and seized the murder weapon. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.The police are investigating to ascertain the motive behind this tragic event.
