Yugal Kishore Joshi takes charge as Principal Chief Security Commissioner of ECoR

Bhubaneswar, April 7: Yugal Kishore Joshi has taken over the charge of Principal Chief Security Commissioner (PCSC), East Coast Railway (ECoR), recently. He joined the Indian Railways from the 1997 batch of IRPF Services. Prior to this post, Joshi was in deputation to Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under Ministry of Jal Shakti and worked as the Director, Swachh Bharat Mission from 2016-21 and Director, Jal Jeevan Mission from 2021-22. He also worked in various posts in Railway Protection Force like Director, Railway Protection Force in Railway Board from 2014-2016, Sr. Divisional Security Commissioner in Delhi Division of Northern Railway and Howrah Division in Eastern Railway. He has also worked as Dy. Chief Security Commissioner in ECoR from 2008-2011. He was a key member of the Swachh Bharat Mission Team that planned, implemented and monitored World’s Largest Behavior Change Programme and facilitated in making India Open Defecation. Joshi also received many awards like Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence for Public Administration in 2018, Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2020, National Award for Outstanding Service over Indian Railways in 2013, Lee Ka Shing Scholarship for pursuing MPA in NUS, Singapore in 2009 and Director General (RPF) Insignia in 2001 and many others in his career due to his devotion to his duties.
