Bhadrak, April 14: In a tragic incident in Odisha, two died and several people became critical in electrocution during Patua Jatra on Monday.
The mishap took place at the Hatuari village under Tihidi police limit in the Bhadrak district late at night.
According to the report, the locals were taking out a procession on the occasion of the Patua Jatra on the village street. Meanwhile, the DG set was charged coming in contact with the 11KV conductor. As a result, scores sustained burn injuries of which two succumbed to injurie on spot.
The critical ones were rushed the Tihidi hospital and later to the District Headquarters Hospital Bhadrak for resuscitation.
