Rourkela:9 girls including 6 minors rescued before trafficking

Rourkela, Oct 21: Rourkela Plant site police has rescued as many as nine girls including 6 minors on Thursday. Two brokers are detained in this connection and the girls have been handed over to the family members. Sources said a group of girls with a young man were spotted at Rourkela bus stop last night while they were waiting to board for a prawn factory in Vijaywada. During patrolling, plant site police came to know about woman trafficking. Subsequently, two major girls and six minors who belong to Banai and Koida areas were taken to the police station from the safety point of view. At the same time, two brokers were detained. On the other hand, the girls were handed over to their parents.
